Community Invited to Public Presentations by Dr. Michelle Osborn

Dr. Michelle Osborn, an Associate Professor in the Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, will be visiting Montana Western to give two public presentations about her background and research on April 18 and 19, 2024 on the UMW campus.

Dr. Osborn is a broadly and classically trained comparative morphologist with teaching and research expertise in anatomy and gross- and micro-dissection, histology, developmental biology, biomechanical analysis, and 3D visualization. The morphological sciences provide the foundation for the practice of veterinary medicine.

Presentations

  • “Forensics Across the Species,” hosted by the UMW Biology Department on Thursday, April 18 at 4:00 p.m. in Block Hall Room 311.
  • “Form, Function, & Failure: Using Whole Body Modelling to Re-examine the Horse,” keynote presentation for the 17th Annual Research Symposium on Friday, April 19 at 5:45 p.m. in the Swysgood Technology Center Great Room.
