Dances with Words Fall Series Announced

On Thursday, September 6, 2018, at 7:30 p.m., author Nick Neely will visit the University of Montana Western for a reading of his nonfiction work as the first guest author of the “Dances with Words” fall semester series.

Each performance in the series takes place at 7:30 p.m. at The Cup, Montana Western’s coffeehouse located below the library on campus.

“Dances with Words” is produced by English Professor Alan Weltzien. The series, free and open to the public, provides the community with a unique opportunity to listen to writers reading their own works, including Montana Western student writers.

During fall semester of 2018, there will be five outstanding authors reading at four “Dances with Words” events.

Bernard Quetchenbach, a nonfiction author and professor at Montana State University Billings, and Cara Chamberlain, a poet also from Billings, Mont. will be reading on October 4, 2018.

On November 29, 2018, Amy Pearson, a writer from Kalispell, Mont. will be sharing her nonfiction.

Doug Ammons from Missoula, Mont. will present his nonfiction writing on December 13, 2018.

Featured authors’ books at “Dances with Words” are made available for purchase by The Bookstore and Deb Sporich.
