Matt Allen Elected to the PNACAC Executive Board

June 7, 2019

Matt Allen, Director of Admissions at Montana Western, was recently elected to the Pacific Northwest Association for College Admission Counseling (PNACAC) Executive Board.

The PNACAC represents college admissions professionals in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington, while the Executive Board provides general direction and policies for the organization.

The PNACAC provides many resources to help guide and prepare students for college admission. It is the regional affiliate of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

Matt Allen was elected as the Government Relations Chair, a three year term. He will monitor legislation that affects admission and college counseling by facilitating communication between PNACAC members and government officials at the federal and state level.

“I am honored to be elected to the PNACAC Executive Board. I’ve enjoyed representing higher education at the state level and I am excited to do the same at the regional level. PNACAC is an amazing organization that provides many different opportunities for its members,” said Allen.

Allen’s duties also consist of attending the NACAC legislative meetings held in Washington D.C. Participants have the opportunity to meet with members of the U.S. Congress and convey NACAC’s annual priority focus.
