Montana Western presents “The Diary of Anne Frank.”

February 3, 2016

A stage adaption of the book “The Diary of a Young Girl” by Anne Frank, the play was written from newly discovered writings from the diary of Anne Frank and survivor accounts to tell the story of people persecuted under Nazi rule.

The production is directed by Judy Ulrich.

“The cast and crew feel the impact of Anne’s powerful story every day,” Ulrich said. “The people in the secret annex were just like everyone else. They loved their families. They worried about their friends, including the ones risking their lives to save them. Anne’s writings and the fundamental message of this play are every bit as important and meaningful today. The lessons from Anne Frank teach us to speak up for others who are wronged and to even take action.”

“The Diary of Anne Frank” and one other production are a part of The Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Series during the 2015-16 season. Tickets are available by calling 406-683-7101.

The Bank of Commerce Performance Series passes are honored. Individual performance tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for youths and can be purchased the day of at the Beier Auditorium. Free admittance for UMW students.
