Welcome to the ASUMW Executive Position Application. This application is exclusively for those applying for the ASUMW President & Vice President positions. For this application, you will need to submit personal & academic information for both candidates, a joint personal statement, and a photos of each candidate. If you have any questions regarding the election process, please visit the ASUMW Office located in the SUB Basement or call (406) 683-7211. Application deadline is Wednesday, March 27th at 4:00 P.M. Please note that applicants must attend the next scheduled ASUMW meeting to announce their candidacy. ASUMW meetings are held every Monday at 11:20 A.M. in the SUB Basement.
ASUMW Bylaws; Article VI, Paragraph VI:
Holding an executive position requires at least one of the candidates in a team, president or vice president, to have served on ASUMW prior to running for an executive position. If neither campaign has a member who has served on ASUMW, serving as a Montana Western club president or high school student body member will qualify them to run.
Please attach a statement outlining the activities and organizations in which you have participated in. This includes student government, service organizations, political organizations, professional organizaztions, community service, honors society, and clubs. Ideal statments will highlight your role or position in these involvements and detail the skills you used and learned in each organization. Include your opinion regarding the greated concern for Montana Western students, the qualities you would both bring as president and vice president, and why you want to hold the executive offices. 500 word maximum.
