Student Accommodation Reconsideration Process
If students disagree with their approved accommodations or how they are implemented, follow these steps:
Step 1: Follow Up
Contact DSS at [email protected] or 406-683-7388, or come to the Dean of Students Office to discuss your concerns.
Step 2: Request reconsideration
If concerns persist, you may request reconsideration within 14 days of either the DSS’s written notice or the date the accommodation was not provided as agreed.
1. Email the Student Accommodations Coordinator ([email protected]) with:
- A meeting request
- A brief summary of your concerns
2. Meet with the Student Accommodations Coordinator (in person or online) to discuss and provide any additional information.
Step 3: Decision
- You will receive a written decision from the Coordinator.
- Inform your faculty; they must implement any approved accommodations.
If a faculty member doesn’t comply:
- Inform the Coordinator immediately.
