Federal Direct Loans

Attention all students!

If you have not borrowed a student loan before, you MUST complete a Federal Direct Master Promissory Note.  ALL students new to Montana Western MUST complete loan entrance counseling online and attend a live session to receive loans.  Live sessions are scheduled at various times throughout the year. 

Federal Direct Loan Processing

To receive a Federal Direct Loan at Montana Western, you must be able to answer YES to ALL of the following questions:

• Have you been accepted into an eligible degree program at Western?
• Have you applied for federal financial aid through the FAFSA form? Has it been processed and the results received at Western?
• Has your financial aid award letter been sent to you for the 2015-2016 school year?
• Have you been awarded a Federal Direct student loan for the 2015-2016 school year?

If you meet all the conditions mentioned above, you can now click on the link below to sign your Federal Direct Loan Master Promissory Note and complete online Federal Loan Entrance Counseling:
