HONR 200/400 - American Foreign Trade

HONR 200/400 American Foreign Trade: Past and Present

In this class, students will explore the history of American foreign trade and then use that knowledge to explore contemporary issues regarding American foreign trade. Chronologically, this course will cover events from the American Revolution to the present and integrate the fields of history, economics, and business to help students explore how Americans have opposed or supported various trade entanglements throughout our country’s history. This will provide students with the analytical framework to understand and evaluate trade policy.

Substitutions:

HSTA 101 or 102
HSTA 294 (a topics course that would meet a general education requirement)
ECNS 431 (International Trade).
