In this class, students will explore the history of American foreign trade and then use that knowledge to explore contemporary issues regarding American foreign trade. Chronologically, this course will cover events from the American Revolution to the present and integrate the fields of history, economics, and business to help students explore how Americans have opposed or supported various trade entanglements throughout our country’s history.
