Early childhood professor receives national award.

August 6, 2015

Under Bullard’s direction, Montana Western’s early childhood education program has grown into the largest and most respected in Montana.

“It is exciting to be part of a dynamic university and to work with an innovative and hard-working faculty,” Bullard said. “Students come to Montana Western because they find value in the program and become better teachers as a result.”

The award is given to recipients who have demonstrated meritorious leadership and professionalism in early childhood teacher education. For six years Bullard has been a NAECTE regional representative on the national board.

Bullard will be honored at a reception during the annual meeting of NAECTE in Orlando, Florida, Nov. 18, 2015.

After working at Montana Western for 26 years, Bullard is leaving to head up an early childhood masters degree program at the University of Montana.
