Foundation announces Legacy Plaza groundbreaking.

April 19, 2016

The ceremony will take place in the parking lot area behind Main Hall, between Main Hall and the Short Building on the University of Montana Western campus, Engellant said.

The event will include remarks by campus officials and refreshments.

“Legacy Plaza will be an extraordinary place where campus and community can come together,” Engellant said. “We’re excited to break ground and begin work on what will be a beautiful addition to our campus.”

Legacy Plaza is part of the overall Legacy Campaign which included the the renovation and restoration of Main Hall. The university is currently creating a model classroom using the latest in technology and instructional practices. The classroom will restore and occupy the former library in Main Hall.

A Legacy Plaza brick campaign was created to allow students, alumni and community members to purchase inscribed paving bricks to include names and messages that will be laid throughout the plaza area.

Bricks can be purchased through the Montana Western Foundation office by calling 406-683-7305 or emailing Roxanne Engellant at [email protected].
