The University of Montana Western's Business Department is welcoming Lawrence Morrisroe, Director of Product Marketing from Quiq Inc., as the featured speaker for the Bridges to Business Speaker Series on Feb. 12, 2019, at 7 p.m. in the Swysgood Technology Center Great Room, located on the UMW campus.
Morrisroe has worked for a variety of companies in the tech industry for the past 20 years including Canon, Yahoo, RightNow, and Oracle. Recently, Lawrence took a position with Quiq Inc. as their Director of Product Marketing. The tech company originated in Bozeman, Mont.
Quiq Inc. is a business messaging platform that allows customers to communicate with companies. Morrisroe’s role focuses on strategy, positioning, and marketing content, as well as drive programs for field awareness, enablement, and customer success around Quiq’s portfolio.
Quiq Inc. believes that mobile message-driven communications will replace a significant portion of the phone and email interactions that are traditionally held between individuals and companies. They hope to reduce costs while improving customer satisfaction.
Morrisroe graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. While in college studying abroad for a semester in Italy, Morrisroe met his wife Jenn, who was originally from Dillon, Mont. The family moved from Silicon Valley, Calif., to Dillon nine years ago to raise their three children.
Morrisroe is able to work in Dillon as a remote employee, but continuously travels all over the United States, meeting with customers and analysts to improve the way customers communicate with companies. He recently became a private pilot, which allows a quick commute to the company office in Bozeman.
