Montana Western Foundation Office hires Alumni Coordinator

Vanessa Graham joined the University of Montana Foundation Office as Special Events and Alumni Coordinator, Foundation Director Roxanne Engellant recently announced.


Vanessa Graham joined the University of Montana Foundation Office as Special Events and Alumni Coordinator, Foundation Director Roxanne Engellant recently announced.

“We’re pleased to bring Vanessa on board as she brings a tremendous amount of relevant experience to the work of the Foundation Office,” Engellant said. “Her experience in relationship building will enable us to increase our alumni and community level of engagement and help boost fundraising.”

Graham’s past experience includes owning and operating a ranch for 14 years with her husband in North Dakota, where she started her own therapeutic riding center for individuals with disabilities. She and her husband, Kent, and three children moved to southwest Montana in 2013 when they purchased a business in Dillon.

While in North Dakota, Graham was certified to instruct team building and leadership exercises using horses and worked with many companies providing leadership retreats utilizing her experience with horses.

She also held a position as a Member Services Director with the Bismarck/Mandan Chamber of Commerce where she acquired years of experience developing and maintaining relationships with community businesses and business owners.

Graham’s Foundation responsibilities include broadening and deepening alumni engagement and building alumni and community relations through university events and outreach.

“I’m excited to bring my experience and skill sets to the role of Special Events and Alumni Coordinator for the UMW Foundation,” Graham said. “Montana Western and the community of Dillon are special places and I look forward to supporting and growing the Foundation through events that will engage, connect and celebrate our alumni, university and community.”

Graham graduated from the University of Mary in Bismark, North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in business.
