Montana Western hosts annual rodeo banquet.

This year’s event will be the 48th Rodeo Banquet at Montana Western. Banquet proceeds provide rodeo student athletes with scholarships and partial travel expenses during the regular season and for the College National Finals at the academic year’s end.

“Montana Western rodeo is grateful for forty eight years of continued support from our community, friends and parents,” said head rodeo coach Olie Else. “Our rodeo athletes have earned degrees and many have gone on to graduate school with their help and support.”

The banquet is sponsored by the rodeo team and the rodeo club with the help of the Montana Western Foundation.

The event features a prime rib dinner, live and silent auctions and music by King Friday.

Community members are encouraged to buy tickets and reserve dinner tables soon as the banquet has sold out in past years.

A no-host cocktail bar will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the prime rib dinner starts at 6 p.m.
