“On the Rocks” lecture series features stream restoration specialist

Alex Leone of the Clark Fork Coalition will present in the first “On the Rocks” talk of the 2016-17 school year on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016.

“On the Rocks” is a lecture series sponsored by the Environmental Sciences Department and University of Montana Western Foundation Office.

Leone, a restoration specialist for the Clark Fork Coalition, works on stream restoration in the upper Clark Fork focusing on water planning efforts and conservation projects aimed at enhancing flows and restoring aquatic habitat.

His talk will address impacts of low summer streamflows on water resources in southwest Montana’s Jefferson Valley. 

Leone’s lecture is at 3:45 p.m. in Block Hall on the UMW campus, Room 311.

All “On the Rocks” presentations are free and open to the public.
