As part of the 2019-20 Bank of Commerce Performing Arts Series, the University of Montana Western's Fine Arts Department is pleased to announce that Rob Quist & The Great Northern Band with Halladay Quist will share their original country and bluegrass songs on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Beier Auditorium.

Halladay Quist released her first CD, titled “In the Sun.” As a songwriter, she has composed many songs on her CD and has a new piece recorded by Phil Vassar, an American country music artist. Quist is recognized as an up and coming artist who has received enthusiastic responses from concert audiences throughout Europe and the West.

Rob Quist is lead singer and songwriter of several bands, including Mission Mountain Wood Band, The Montana Band, and Rob Quist & Great Northern. Quist has had the opportunity to tour in Japan, Europe and the United States, while producing many CDs. He is also a published poet and was recently inducted into the University of Montana School of Fine Arts Hall of Honors.

The band promises stellar lead vocals and a three part harmony followed by world class instrumentals featuring Leif Christian on lead guitar and Valley Lopez on drums.

The performers will also hold a free teaser concert on Montana Western’s Legacy Plaza at 3:15 p.m. the same day.
