Free Show: “The Complete Works of Shakespeare: Abridged and Revised”

On November 1  at 7:30 p.m. in the Beier Auditorium, Shakespeare in the Schools will present “The Complete Works of Shakespeare: Abridged and Revised” in a hysterical three-person show that condenses every Shakespeare story into a 90-minute performance. This show is free for all to attend.

Macbeth

For its 30th season, Shakespeare in the Schools will present “Macbeth” in an engaging live performance directed by Susan Felder. This production will be accompanied by a lively post-show talkback and workshop.

Performances will be held in Montana Western’s Beier Auditorium located in Main Hall at 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m on November 2.

To purchase tickets, please visit the BOC Performing Arts Series Box Office webpage (www.umwestern.edu/bank-of-commerce-performing-arts-series/box-office/). Tickets are available at $15 for general admission, $10 for senior, youth, and military, and free for UMW students who present their Bulldog Cards. Group pricing is also available for schools at $3 per seat. Please contact [email protected] for more information and to arrange group pricing.

Stage Combat Workshop

In addition to the play performances, a free workshop entitled “My Voice is in my Sword- Storytelling through Stage Combat” will be held on November 2 at 3:30 p.m.

The characters in Macbeth reach for their swords when their words fail. Stage combat requires extraordinary care, community, and collaboration. This workshop will invite students to experience and enact the care and storytelling (and fun!) that goes into creating combat onstage in the story of Macbeth.

Workshop participation is limited, so please contact [email protected] to reserve a seat for the workshop.
