UMW Announces 2024 Experience Montana Western Preview Day

The University of Montana Western would like invite all prospective and incoming students and their families to Experience Montana Western, UMW's free spring preview day, on Friday, March 22, 2024.

This exciting event will give prospective students the opportunity to tour the campus, learn about UMW’s courses and unique block schedule, speak with faculty, staff, and community members, and much more. As a bonus, all attendees will automatically be entered for a chance to win a $500 scholarship.

Schedule of Events:

• 9:00 – 10:00  |  Check-in at Straugh Gymnasium
   
• 10:00 – 10:30  |  Welcome & Introduction to Experience One (X1)
  • Learn about Montana Western’s unique class schedule!

• 10:30 – 11:30  |  Tour of Montana Western’s Campus
   
• 11:30 – 12:30  |  Academic Exploration
  • Attend a majors fair to hear about academic opportunities!

• 12:30 – 1:30  |  Lunch
   
• 1:30 – 2:15  |  Experience One Forum
  • Q&A session with Montana Western’s current students, faculty, staff, and community members.
     
• 2:15 – 2:30  |  Admissions & Financial Aid Process Review / Wrap-Up
  • Hear a brief overview of admissions and financial aid processes and win some prizes. All attending students will be entered to win a $500 scholarship!
     
• 2:30 – 3:00  |  Enrollment Checklist Completion
  • Join UMW staff members to complete the next steps for the Fall 2024 semester. Apply to Montana Western, complete FAFSA, schedule registration appointment, etc.
     
• 3:00  |  Residence Hall Tour
  • Join some of UMW’s residential staff for a tour of housing facilities.

Individuals that are unable to attend Experience Montana Western can schedule a campus tour for the opportunity to meet with an Admissions Representative and request to meet with professors or student support staff.
