December 7, 2015

Online Colleges provides guides and reports on schools that offer online programs state-by-state.

“We’re pleased our online ECE program has been ranked among the top in the country,” said Jen Gilliard, professor and director of ECE program. “Through experiential learning our students are exposed to real-world opportunities that gives them an unmatched advantage when they begin their careers in the classroom.”

The online ECE program at Montana Western is designed for students who want to teach young children. Graduates are prepared to assume leadership roles as early childhood teachers and directors with children through the age of eight.

ECE students at Montana Western take courses that integrate developmentally appropriate curricula with social, emotional and trauma informed practices.

“Montana Western has clearly put great emphasis on creating a program that prepares students for success and that played a major role in our ranking,” said Melissa Venable, Online Colleges education editor.

Online Colleges uses a complex methodology that compares academics, student experience, financial aid and enrollment in the online bachelor’s in ECE program to issue its rankings.
