December 10, 2010

Professors of English Bethany Blankenship and Rebecca Knotts serve as the faculty advisors for Alpha Epsilon Iota, which is one of only four Sigma Tau Delta International English Honor Society chapters in Montana.

The new members are: Gary Oram, Dillon, Mont; Randi Westlie, Ronan, Mont; Kristen Kindle, Malta, Mont.; Renae Counter, Butte, Mont.; Chrissy Pantoja, Butte, Mont.; Ben Moser, Butte, Mont.

“Membership in Sigma Tau Delta is an outward recognition of personal accomplishment,” Knotts explained. “It offers undergraduate scholars access to scholarships, internships, conferences, and award-winning publications where they can publish both critical and creative writing.”

Inductees were honored for their high academic achievement and personal accomplishments and awarded lifetime membership certificates and membership pins. Sigma Tau Delta advocates literacy and literature throughout the community and on campuses, nurturing the specialty of English in all its facets.
