Stay safe while playing in the backcountry this winter and brush up on your avalanche safety skills.
On Wednesday, January 17th, at 6:30 p.m., Montana Western’s School of Outreach will team up with The Friends of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center to offer an Avalanche Awareness night. During this multi-media presentation you will learn to recognize avalanche terrain, how the weather affects the avalanche hazard and the development of the mountain snow pack. Discuss current conditions and learn about new equipment, etc. It’s never too late to brush up on these important skills. The presentation is FREE and will be held at Montana Western’s Bulldog Lounge.
