500.1 Acceptable Use

In accordance with Montana Board of Regents Policy 1300, the University of Montana Western has established an institutional policy for acceptable use of State and University-owned technology system components.

500.6 Wireless Network

The University of Montana Western will start to add wireless access points to the campus network in two circumstances. Open-access hotspots will be used to provide connectivity for the convenience of students. These access points will provide limited access to campus resources. Wireless connectivity will also be used in circumstances where hard-wired access is unavailable or impractical, such as for portable labs.
