  1. Policy

    The University of Montana Western shall establish a Technology Steering Committee to review and coordinate issues relating to technology on Western’s campus. The Committee, chaired by the Director of Information Technology Services, will include the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs, Dean of Outreach & Research, Librarian, Director of Business Services, Director of Academic Technology, one Student Senate representative, one Faculty Senate representative, and one classified staff representative.

  2. Purpose

    To allow the University to move forward in an intentional, incremental, and coordinated fashion with the decisions that are affected by and that impact technology, the Technology Steering Committee coordinates all aspects of technology planning and decision-making campus-wide to provide effective, efficient, and coordinated use of available technological resources.

  3. Procedures

    The UMW Technology Plan outlines procedures for planning, acquisition, implementation, and goals for technology on Western’s campus. This plan is available from Information Technology Services (ITS), Administration & Finance Office, or at Western’s website: https://www.umwestern.edu/
