The Learning Center is a testing facility for Montana’s approved HiSET, the high school equivalency exam. Five subtests of Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies, and Writing are given. The Lucy Carson Library has HiSET manuals, available for check out to the public, to help you prepare.

To set up a test-taker account and to register for the exam, you must go to the HiSET website here. The fee to take all five subtests is $50, payable on the website. The test center fee for the University of Montana Western is $25 for all five subtests, payable to the University on the day you are to test.
