The University of Montana Western has received the 2022-2023 Military Friendly Schools Designation and silver ranking.
University of Montana Western senior, Emily Engen, has received the 2022 Montana Student Volunteer Award.
Two students from the University of Montana Western’s Department of Environmental Science, Torie Bollinger and Kori Mooney, have received positions as Seasonal Hydrologic Technicians for the United States Forest Service in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest.
On April 6, 2022, Montana Western will honor three outstanding community members for their service and support at the annual Dr. Jane Helm Maddock Service Awards Ceremony. The event will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Lewis and Clark Room, located in Mathews Hall on the UMW campus.
Campus Compact, a national coalition of colleges and universities working to advance the public purposes of higher education, has named 173 student civic leaders who will make up the organization’s 2022-2023 cohort of Newman Civic Fellows. Brooklyn Suden, a student at the University of Montana Western, will join students from 38 states, Washington, D.C., and Mexico to form the cohort.
The 52nd Annual Montana Western Rodeo Banquet will be held on Friday, April 1st, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in the Keltz Arena. This year’s “Friends of UMW Rodeo” honorees will be Race and Shelly King.
